AMES, Ia. — Iowa State’s non-conference basketball schedule includes seven games against Power Five opponents, even before the Cyclones open the 18-game round-robin Big 12 scheduling gauntlet.
Iowa State plays at Oregon State of the Pac-12 on Nov. 9, four days after its Nov. 5 home opener against Mississippi Valley State at Hilton Coliseum.
The Cyclones’ pre-conference schedule also includes games against Seton Hall of the Big East, and Big Ten Iowa.
Iowa State hosts Southern Mississippi on Nov. 19, before heading to the Bahamas for the Nov. 27-29 Battle 4 Atlantis. It’s a big-time tournament that includes North Carolina, Gonzaga, Michigan, Oregon, Alabama, Seton Hall and Southern Miss.
The Cyclones also face a school from the Southeastern Conference on Jan. 25 on the road in the annual Big 12/SEC Challenge. They won’t face Drake or Northern Iowa.
