Iowa State’s newest 2019 target is set to officially visit campus at the end of April.
Caleb Grill, a three-star guard out of Wichita, Kansas, told the Register he has scheduled an official visit to Iowa State for April 29-30. He said he has also scheduled an April 22-23 official visit to Kansas State, and that he is working on setting up other visits, as well.
Originally a South Dakota State recruit, Grill re-opened his commitment after former Jackrabbits coach T.J. Otzelberger took the UNLV job. The Running Rebels just offered Grill on Wednesday, joining Iowa State, Kansas State and Creighton as the schools who have targeted the 6-foot-2 guard with a lights-out stroke and good bounce.
The Cyclones have one open 2019 scholarship due to Cam Lard’s transfer, and they’ll likely have at least one or two more with Lindell Wigginton and Talen Horton-Tucker declaring for the NBA Draft. Both players have until May 29 to decide whether they wish to return to school for another year.
