KU Football Predictions: West Virginia

Our staff tells you what is going to happen in tomorrow’s game so you don’t have to watch.

The Kansas Jayhawks have one last game before the bye week, and man it’s a doozy. Facing Heisman candidate Will Grier and the West Virginia Mountaineers, Kansas will try to get it’s first Big 12 win. Do they even have a shot?

dnoll5: This isn’t going to be pretty. I have no other details to add, but West Virginia is definitely the best team that KU has seen this year, and I don’t think the Jayhawks will keep it particularly close. KU has kinda hung in there in their first two conference games, but I really don’t think it’s possible this time. West Virginia 51, Kansas 21.

David: West Virginia has a dangerous offense with a great QB, and we saw Oklahoma State repeatedly beat Kansas over the top last week. The Mountaineers should be able to score as many points as they want. West Virginia 56, Kansas 17

Kyle_Davis21: This is the middle of a brutal stretch for the Kansas defense, with another high-powered offense waiting next week in Texas Tech. Will Grier is a Heisman candidate, and while I think Stanley will play well again, this doesn’t feel close. West Virginia 49, Kansas 21

Mike.Plank: While West Virginia’s offense should be able to pick its number, their defense isn’t exactly imposing; statistically, it’s very similar to the KU defense. However, WVU hasn’t played Rutgers this year. Kansas should still be able to move the ball on a few drives, and Pooka should have a big play or two, but we’re basically looking at a repeat of last week (only maybe a little worse). West Virginia 59, Kansas 28.

Fizzle406: This is going to be a mauling. Probably the second worst mauling Kansas will receive this season. West Viriginia 56. Kansas 18

Andy Mitts: Kansas will be out of this one early, as West Virginia will completely outclass them in the first half. Pooka will get it going in the second half, but by then it will be too late. West Virginia will have at least 7 plays of 40+ yards. West Virginia 59, Kansas 24.
