BOOM! 2020 OL Noah Nelson commits to Oklahoma

The gargantuan three-star prospect from Williams Field HS (Gilbert, Ariz.) is another piece of Bill Bedenbaugh’s cycle.

Two weeks ago, Bill Bedenbaugh hosted some offensive linemen to fill out his class, and it appears as if he’s found another piece in Gilbert, Ariz. native OL Noah Nelson, who has committed to the Oklahoma Sooners over Michigan, USC, UCLA, Oklahoma State and others.

Nelson is a three-star prospect that stands at a massive 6’8, 295lbs with another gap of nearly thirty pounds to fill as an offensive tackle. He’s typical for an Oklahoma tackle — long, athletic, rangy, HUGE. Nelson’s athleticism doesn’t jump off the page at you, which might suggest he will play right tackle in Bedenbaugh’s system. His quick feet at the point of attack will be very well served for pulling on the counters that Lincoln Riley loves to run.

Nelson is the second OL commit in as many Monday nights for Bedenbaugh and the OU staff. Lincoln Riley has been looking to manufacture recruiting momentum after the Spring Game and is likely another commit away from truly doing so. Nelson is the nation’s No. 569 overall prospect, which keeps the Sooners steady at the No. 14 in 247’s composite team rankings.
