Cowboys coach Mike Boynton has his eyes on the future with the extra time on his hands.
Although he can’t physically hit the recruiting trail, that hasn’t stopped Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton from looking ahead to the future. Boynton’s staff extended an offer to five-star recruit Harrison Ingram on Wednesday.

Ingram hails from Dallas, Texas, and plays for St. Marks. He doesn’t face the same competition at the TAAPS level as he would see at a public school in the UIL, but he has faced plenty of talented players across his prep career. He faced fellow five-star recruit Jalen Green and Prolific Prep at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Dallas.
Ingram strung together five triple-doubles in a row at one point during his junior season and saw his recruitment explode. The 6-foot-7 forward is ranked 13th in the nation by 247sports.com and boasts more than 20 offers.
Ingram will likely receive many more offers before he’s ready to make a decision and OSU already has plenty of competition from other programs. It wouldn’t be the first time Boynton has landed a highly rated recruit out of the metroplex though. Arlington native Cade Cunningham signed with the Cowboys in his senior season. If Cunningham and the Cowboys have a successful season next year, it could be the nudge Ingram needs to choose OSU.
Ingram takes on TCU signee Mike Miles and the No. 1-ranked 5A team in Texas, the Lancaster Tigers.
Ingram and St. Marks take on five-star Manny Obaseki and the Allen Eagles.
