The Cowboys keep on climbing.

Oklahoma State moved up one spot to No. 22 in the College Football Playoff rankings despite being on its bye week.

The Cowboys (6-3, 3-3 Big 12) slid up one spot thanks to then-No. 19 Wake Forest’s 38-17 loss at unranked Virginia Tech. OSU was idle this past week before its final three games of the season with favorable games against Kansas and at West Virginia before hosting Bedlam rival Oklahoma, who was ranked No. 10 in the second week of the CFP rankings.

Along with the two Oklahoma schools, the Big 12 has three other programs ranked: No. 13 Baylor, No. 19 Texas and No. 24 Kansas State.

LSU took over the No. 1 spot from Ohio State, who moved back to No. 2. Clemson and Georgia both leaped two spots to Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, to round out the top four.

No. 5 Alabama and No. 6 Oregon are the first two out. Penn State dropped out of the top four to No. 9 after a 31-26 loss at Minnesota, who climbed up six spots to No. 8.
