Welcome to High Noon Highlights, a place to catch up on everything you missed in Oklahoma State athletics and more!

It’s high noon…

Women’s basketball gets Bedlam win:

Oklahoma State beat their rivals to the south last night 73-69. With the win, their Cowgirls have evened the series for the season.

The duo of Vivian Gray and Natasha Mack got the Cowgirls rolling early in the game, accounting for the team’s first six points. Oklahoma took advantage of an 8-0 run to take an early 14-6 lead. The Cowgirls wouldn’t stay down long before responding with an eight-point run of their own to tie the game at 14. After the first 10 minutes, OSU trailed 18-16. {Okstate.com}

Cowgirl Softball has some fun on Tik Tok:

Kiley Naomi and teammate Chelsea Alexander had some fun with a popular challenge on the Tik Tok app. They showed how they get game day ready. It was picked up by the NCAA Softball Twitter account.

Lauren Bay Regula training to play for Team Canada in the 2020 Olympics:

Former Oklahoma State softball pitcher Lauren Bay Regula is getting a second chance to try to make an Olympic team.

But the stars aligned as a combination of logistics and circumstance made it possible for Bay Regula to attend Olympic training.

With the only scheduled team breaks in March and May, Smith is allowing Bay Regula to have a two-week-on, two-week-off schedule for the first two months, which means she can come home.

Part of the training will be held in British Columbia, where Bay Regula’s family still lives, so her children can visit.

After spending April in Fresno, California, and a pre-Olympic tour of Japan in May, Team Canada will play an exhibition schedule against professional teams in the U.S. that includes stops in Cleveland and Chicago, more opportunities for the Regulas to be together. {Beacon Journal}
