Greetings Longhorn Nation,
Saturday is a big day for the Longhorns. ESPN College GameDay visits Austin for the first time in almost a decade. This is a great opportunity to showcase our basketball programs and to celebrate The University of Texas. Please join me at the Frank Erwin Center for the live broadcast of College GameDay (admission is free) and stick around to watch Women’s Basketball take on TCU at noon. Men’s Basketball hosts Oklahoma (presented by Target) at 5:15 p.m. See you there!

ANDREW JONES FUND
The AJ1 Fund has raised just under $150,000 in its first couple of weeks. I can’t thank our fans enough for their generosity. As Andrew continues his fight, additional support will be needed. This Saturday, the eyes of college basketball will be on us. Saturday is a celebration of The University of Texas. Let’s also make it a celebration of Andrew Jones by spreading the word about the AJ1 Fund. Please consider making a donation to the fund if you haven’t already. Every dollar helps. Donate here
TEXAS BASEBALL OPENS WITH ANNUAL ALUMNI GAMES

UDPATE: FOOTBALL GAMEDAY EXPERIENCE IMPROVEMENTS
We are committed to improving the gameday atmosphere at all of our events, starting with football. We recently formed a Gameday Experience Committee. In short order, we will ask fans, donors, season ticket holders and students to help us out. Be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks.
HORNS IN THE SUPER BOWL
This is the 13th consecutive year we’ll have a former football player represented in the Super Bowl. Patriots DT Malcom Brown faces off against former teammates LB Jordan Hicks and WR Marcus Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles. Good luck, fellas. We’ll be watching! Watch this video from Super Bowl LII Opening Night earlier this week.

ON-CAMPUS SALUTE TO MACK BROWN
I’m looking forward to celebrating legendary Texas Football head coach Mack Brown who will be honored at halftime of Saturday’s Men’s Basketball game vs. Oklahoma for his upcoming induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. Coach Brown is the 22nd Longhorn to be inducted into the National Football Foundation’s College Hall of Fame, joining coaches Dana X.
