The early odds anticipate another loss for the Longhorns.

Texas has now dropped two of its last three contests, and those recent woes are projected to continue in the coming days.

Less than 24 hours after the Longhorns lost to Iowa State on a last-second field goal, 23-21, Texas opened as a 5-point underdog for next Saturday’s road trip against No. 13 Baylor, per VegasInsider.

Texas will enter the matchup sitting at 6-4 overall and 4-3 within the conference, with the latest loss effectively ending the Horns’ Big 12 title hopes. Baylor will be looking to bounce back from a loss, as well, after the Bears blew a 28-3 lead before falling to Oklahoma on Saturday night, 34-31.

Per ESPN’s FPI, the Longhorns have only a 37.5 percent chance to leave Waco with a win.

Kickoff between Texas and Baylor is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on FS1.
