High Noon Highlights (12/10): Chuba Hubbard thanks fans for support after Heisman snub

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to High Noon Highlights, a place to catch up on everything you missed in Oklahoma State Athletics and beyond!

It’s high noon…

Chuba has a fantastic attitude after being left out of Heisman finalist:

This is something that makes you proud to be an Oklahoma State fan. After it was announced the OSU running back would be headed to New York, he took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support over the season. This was an incredibly classy move.

“What’s up Cowboy nation and everyone back home,” said Hubbard. “I just want to take a few seconds to say thank you to everyone who supported me and was voting for me in the Heisman. I’m blessed to be in this position. I wouldn’t be here without my teammates or any of you all. I just want to say thank you and I’m proud to be a Cowboy.” {24/7}

Prediction for Oklahoma State’s bowl game:

ESPN released a post detailing what they thing is going to happen in all the bowl games. Here’s what they had to say about the Pokes vs. the Aggies.

An old Big 12 matchup is renewed — Texas A&M leads the series 17-10 — as both teams try to finish strong and set up bigger seasons in 2020. This seems particularly important for Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies, who played a brutal schedule but also looked noncompetitive against LSU (50-7 loss). Oklahoma State gets the nod here behind an improving defense and dynamic running back Chuba Hubbard, who eclipses the 2,000-yard mark with his 12th 100-yard rushing performance. {ESPN}

A Quick 9 with Brian Stark:

The Oklahoma State Golf media team walked the course with player Brian Stark to talk his decision to come to Oklahoma State, what it’s like to be in the OSU golf fraternity.

8. What is it like walking down the trophy hallway every day?”It still shocks me a little bit to see all the plaques and all the trophies and everything. As a freshman coming in, you have to live up to that stuff, which is good, I like that. It just shows you what your goal is here, to be on one of the best programs and try to fulfill the legacies of everyone else.” {Okstate.com}
